Job Description : SOURCING MANAGER MALAYSIA As a result of ongoing and continued successes both within Malaysia and internationally, this global leader within the energy and oil and gas industry is seeking a Sourcing Manager. In this job, you will join its well-established practice here within the country. About the Sourcing Manager Role: In this business critical role, you will be responsible for defining the broad sourcing strategy within the rotating equipment category, delivering the highest quality service alongside procurement professionals. You will also take the lead in providing direction to all sourcing-related activities within the category, and ensuring policies and best practices are adhered to together with contract and supplier performance management. On top of that, this sourcing manager would be involved in budgeting, HSSE objectives, JV partnerships and NOC agreements where necessary. Key Responsibilities: · Deliver effective and efficient category sourcing and contracting activities · Accountable for contract and procurement plan with demand data and value opportunities for the assigned category · Ensure the team performs relevant due diligence processes and secure required approvals · Ensure vision alignment, objectives, and priorities to support business delivery and stay consistent with business planning/finance processes · Understand the organisation category strategy and support the development of sourcing strategies · Conduct contract negotiations where required and drive strategic relationships with key market players · Ensure post-award contract management and administration · Be accountable for supplier performance management activities to drive improvements with supplier performance · Be accountable for compliance activities including audit resolution as applicable · Communicate effectively through various communication channels to gain commitment and support from diverse stakeholders to help achieve business outcomes · Manage the development of any staff reporting into this position following organisation talent management processes · Oversee the execution of sourcing activities via company approved systems, process, policies, and regulatory requirements · Gather demand for goods and services from supply and business facing teams and ensure team delivery timely execution of sourcing activities · Demonstrate personal responsibility and well-being to everyone around, follow OMS and contribute to a safe and sustainable work place To succeed in this Sourcing Manager role, you will need to be comfortable in working on shifts either for the US or UK market likewise have solid experience in the oil and gas industry and be familiar in rotating equipment or well services and low carbon, drilling, rig services, MRO, inbound logistics, warehousing, shore base management, to name a few. Key Requirements: · Tertiary qualification in supply chain management or related field of study · At least 10 years of practical application in end-to-end sourcing and contracting of service together with a minimum of five years of direct people management · Hands-on exposure to oil and gas categories such as production, operations, inbound logistics, MRO, CAPEX and HSEE · Adept in rotating equipment or well services and low carbon, drilling, completion, intervention, rig support services, reservoir development, technology, life cycle management, engineering services. sub-sea, fuel, inbound logistics, marine and shore base management · Ability to manage and execute procurement strategies to support overall cross-functional teams as a business partner in UK/US time zones · Track record of successful supply chain delivery in complex, challenging international environments and joint ventures
