Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a role for a someone who is a leader in their field. About the Head of Supply and Logistics Role: In this business critical role, you will be responsible for defining the broad business development strategy, delivering the highest quality service alongside the C-level stakeholders. You will also take the lead providing direction to all supply chain-related activities, including end-to-end value chain management, logistics, supplier management. Key Responsibilities: · Partner with key stakeholders within the corporate sponsor to oversee all supply-side aspects, playing a key role in cultivating long-term relationships, widening their available portfolio onto the platform, and smoothen all processes involved · Acquire a small but highly valuable number of new suppliers to integrate their portfolio onto the platform, and be responsible for the identification, acquisition, and development of these partners · Leverage polished communication skills and relationship-building acumen to engage and develop partnerships with C-level stakeholders of the suppliers · Longer-term: develop and oversee the logistics aspects of the platform, partnering closely with the Logistics Manager to drive optimisation and new propositions for supplier · Leverage deep knowledge of the polymer market, and utilise solid understanding of the supply and demand dynamics of the industry to effectively develop a unique proposition for suppliers, creating additional value internally as well as for customers of the product · Manage and develop a small team of supplier success, supplier acquisition, and logistics experts · Maintain and optimise the processes involved, encompassing pricing, logistics, compliance considerations, etc. · Work with the CPO to funnel Supplier considerations into the Product and its value proposition for its partners To succeed in this Head of Supply and Logistics role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior stakeholders, across borders and internal matrix. Key Requirements: · Minimum of twenty five years in relevant field and five years of experience in a leadership role with exposure to, and network connections within, suppliers · Readinessto travel up to 25% of the time to meet suppliers · Strong commercial acumen and sales affinity, having a capacity to translate insights from various interactions with Suppliers into meaningful commercial opportunities · Superlative communication skills, having interfaced with senior stakeholders including C-level · Deep understanding of the polymer market and petrochemical landscape · Good command of the English language with the addition of Arabic being an advantage · Experience working with various CRM, supply chain management, ERP tools is an advantage
