We are now seeking a Sales Operations Manager to join our thriving team in W Africa who has an in depth understanding of the retail channel landscape and knowledge of distribution, and who is capable of driving execution at retail with a focus on improving the consumer experience and creative thinking for improving in-store conversions. This key role will involve the management of the following areas: An efficient Partner Channel Landscape, 3rd Party Field Force Operations (including Product Training) in Local Markets. You will execute the overall business strategy focusing specifically on distribution and retail execution across our portfolio. Responsibilities: · Effectively integrate and update existing tools (see below) in executing GTM programs, increasing: Availability, Sell Out and Activations @ Retail · Work with relevant Local Office / Region functions to ensure that all aspects of Channel Development (best partners to grow our business via robust focus on: sell-in and sell-through), Retail Management and Sales Capabilities are implemented effectively. · Ensure that there is alignment with Area guidelines and provide any local value add as needed. · Monitor channel health, partner sell-through and Inventory levels and drive implementation of upstream projects wherever necessary, to drive effectiveness and efficiency. (Example: Sea Freight vs Air Freight) · Drive channel visibility data and Field data quality. Manage/resolve local data collection challenges, ensure thorough data analysis, and provide business insight back into the HMD Account managers and FF teams. · Take lead to roll out common Sales processes and support deployment of Sales and Retail competencies in the LO. · Provide support to GM / sales teams in developing and driving necessary channel and sales KPI’s and merchandising needs. Providing analytics support for effective sales planning including CCT/ SAMPO. · Develop and Deploy process, framework and governance for effective utilization of sell-out rebates. Together with sales teams and Merchandising optimize ROI on rebate spending. · Drive special projects (Value & Volume) in LO aimed at improving availability and sell out in Retail, Distribution and Sales processes. · In collaboration with country Trainers, use Retail Audit data from TRIBE to identify gaps and develop and implement necessary corrective action plans. · Have full accountability of Channels and work cross functionally with sales channels and other functions (Care, GTM, Marketing) to ensure necessary SLA’s and KPI’s are delivered and take lead in cross channel governance. Background/Qualifications: · Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (Sales/Marketing/Technology/Business) · You will have at least 8 years formal experience of sales and marketing, ideally with exposure to branded retail management · You will have worked within the mobile/telecommunications industry, and you will have strong knowledge of Operator, Retail and Distribution channels · You will be a strong communicator who works well through influence rather than control · You will ideally have experience of both start up environments and working within an international business · You will be highly commercial in your approach and act on all opportunities that the market presents · You will speak fluent English and be adept at working with all MS Office tools · Strong track record of collaborating well across functions and borders
