Liberty Steel Group is our international steel and mining business with an integrated offering – from the production of liquid steel made from raw and recycled materials through to high value precision engineered steels and associated services, sold to customers around the world Position Summary This position has been created in order to improve our procurement and sourcing processes through the development of a robust strategy around alternate sourcing, either with an in-house or outsourced perspective, for our steel businesses in India. This will also cover export logistics associated to procurement and sales, so we require broad skillset across operational procurement, process improvement and export logistics and compliance. Key Responsibilities · Manage all commercial transactions for the India operation · Develop & implement overall commercial strategy and ensure smooth flow of operations · Managing all costing for the India transactions happening via Indian entity · Evaluating and reviewing company’s logistics operations business practices, updating and developing process documentation, restructuring opportunities, and eliminating non-value added activities · Planning, budgeting & procurement of raw materials and stores & maintenance items · Negotiate & secure commercial contracts pertaining to export ensuring that commercial terms are in the best interest of all parties concerned. · Managing entire supply chain & logistics, including negotiation & finalization of rates & transportation contracts, appointment of transporters & CHAs, Chartering of Vessels etc. · Liaising with local administration, various government departments & stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. · Interact with various government agencies such as Foreign Trade, GST & Sales Tax etc. · Spearheading logistics, planning & negotiating with transporters & C&F Agents for cost effective transport solutions & clearances · Awareness of external factors (including competitors, government business initiatives, current and proposed legislation in relation to commercial activities) which impact the business. · Assessing the risks to the business of any new commercial opportunities. · Collating and analysing business data pertaining to all commercial activities. · Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets in line with business objectives. · Collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams (purchase, customer service, accounts, exports, logistics etc.) · Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders. · Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare MIS reports for senior management. · Auditing entire commercial operation - post shipment reviewing of costing. · In depth knowledge and understanding of export activity, terms, and terminologies. · Can resolve all issues related to CHA, shipping line, inspection agency, customer & supplier. · Analyse the case and pricing inputs, and make recommendations. · Driving Process automation changes for different processes. Key Skills & Experience Requirements · Engineering background. · 15years experience within metals industry is essential. · Strong focus in process improvement. · Experience and understanding of export documentation and compliance needs in India. · The ability and desire to grow a specialist function focused on procurement and sourcing development functional excellence · Previous team management experience within a similar function.

Group Distribution Manager

GROUP DISTRIBUTION MANAGER DUBAI Based in Dubai, the Group Distribution Manager manages the multifaceted Logistics and Distribution function. The scope encompasses ordering, pricing, claims management, imports, logistics, customs, sales administration, inventory control and stock yard management. Primary Responsibilities Ordering and Claims Management · Develop the vehicle ordering plan based on the approved annual budget in collaboration with key stakeholders. · Ensure that vehicle stock orders are placed with the principals in accordance with the prescribed timelines. · Provide regular concise information to the stakeholders on order status and following up with the principals and shipping lines, proactively notifying and escalation to top management in case of unplanned delays. · Ensure that financial support claims are prepared accurately and submitted to the principals in a timely manner in accordance with the prevailing policies and procedures · Maintain a meticulous record of claims submitted in order to respond efficiently to periodic reviews and audit by the principals. · Follow-up with the principals to resolve and settle any unpaid claims. Sales Administration · Ensure that all sales documentation is executed to a high standard in accordance with the company and procedures · Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales numbers and warranty registrations to the manufacturer · Timely verification of vehicle invoices received from the principals and forwarding to the Accounts department for settlement Imports and Logistics · Ensure that all shipments by land, sea and air are adequately insured. · Manage customs regulations and ensure being up to date and in full compliance at all times · Manage the duty payment process and ensures duties are correctly accounted for and claimed at the correct times. · To ensure vehicles delivery to end users are in full compliance with company policies and procedures Inventory Control and Stock Management · Monitor, control and optimise availability of stock in the stock yards · Ensure that the yards are organised efficiently with proper stocking and stock maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines including periodic cleaning, engine starting and tyre rotation, etc., to prevent damage. · Implement initiatives to minimise stock deterioration due to environmental exposure and minimise damage in case of extreme weather events. Internal controls · Abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the company’s standards and policies, including its environmental, safety and health policies. · Key Skills and Competences · In depth knowledge of the automotive market, logistics and distribution, customs procedures.
