OPERATIONAL : Production planning and scheduling : - Set the production targets along with the Business Head, based on the allocated power supply and participate in the daily decisions along with the Business Head. - Coordinate with the power plant/ electrical Deptt. for scheduling of shutdowns. - Performance monitoring : Monitor the Cement plant efficiencies by conducting plant performance review meetings, providing technical inputs, reviewing shift reports and conducting inspections. - Maintenance support :Plan and supervise the preventive maintenance activities and ensure availability of resources in case of a breakdown. - Inventory planning and procurement support : Ensure availability of all plant equipment, spares and raw material by reviewing and negotiating buying decisions along with the purchase department. Process improvements : Undertake and supervise various technical and quality upgradation projects in order to upgrade the technology and equipment in the Cement plant. People responsibilities : - Provide training and developmental inputs to all subordinates. - Maintain harmonious labour relations through welfare activities and grievance handling. - Conduct appraisals for all subordinates. Financial responsibilities : Prepare the annual production and maintenance budgets, based on the forecasted price and power availability.
