Business Development Manager Location: Kinshasha, DRC Reports to: Head Sales & Marketing & Regional Manager Purpose Business Development Manager shall report directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing supported by the Regional Manager. Responsbilities 1. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and target industries. Proactively seek out new business opportunities through various channels. 2. Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to attract and convert prospects into qualified leads. Work closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with marketing initiatives. 3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs, address concerns, and provide excellent customer service to foster long-term partnerships. 4. Lead contract negotiations and close deals with clients to achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are favourable and in line with company policies. 5. Develop and execute business development strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our presence in existing markets. Analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and operations to ensure seamless execution of business development plans and strategies. 7. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to the senior management team. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve sales strategies and processes. 8. Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to anticipate opportunities and challenges in the market. Requirement 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. 2. Proven track record of successful business development and sales experience, preferably in a similar industry. 3. Strong understanding of sales principles, lead generation, and customer relationship management. 4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade clients effectively. 5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills. 6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, create reports, and make data-driven decisions. 7. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and sales activities

Liaise and communicate with the Security Leads to provide them with ongoing support. 9. Assist in the coordination of Emergency Response, Country Evacuation Response and Country Crisis Response functions. 10. Regularly review compliance of the contracted security service providers. Raise awareness on non-compliance matters and issue corrective actions requests as necessary and ensure rectification measures are timeously implemented. Coordinate the security efforts across all CPP locations, ensuring that lessons leamt, and corrective actions are shared at each facility.

Manage all fundraising plans and design / maintain an optimal capital structure. Manage all debt and debt raising activities including relationships with current and prospective debt providers, and effective debt facility covenant management (current and future). Work with the senior management team to ensure correct risk management procedures are adhered to and reviewed/ updated from time to time for relevance Responsible for effective Cash Management and Treasury Management systems Oversee internal and external audits and ensure audit recommendations are implemented Ensure diligence, integrity and accountability as an authorized signatory for the company Ensure timely reporting of management accounts and annual financial statements in line with reporting standards Assists in full automation of accounting processes Oversee the maintenance of the fixed assets register and administrative management of the Business’ property. Key qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field. A Masters Degree from a recognized institution is an added advantage. A minimum of 25 years relevant experience with at least (4) four years in senior management level. Previous experience as a CFO in a warehousing and logistics business is preferred. Professional accounting qualifications - CPA, ACCA. Possession of a CFA charter is an added advantage.
