OPERATIONS MANAGER INDONESIA ( OPEN TO EXPATS) A leading European 3PL company is seeking an Operations Manager of Land Transport (National Coverage). In this job, you will lead a team and ensure that customer's KPIs are met and maintain the quality of the services to the premium standard. About the Operations Manager of Land Transport (National Coverage) Role: Reporting to the Director of Land Transport and managing a large number of teams, you are responsible for managing and reviewing transportation operational policies, standards and procedures in accordance with transportation business and customers’ needs, including the implementation of transportation solutions, and managing transport business resources, including manpower, internal assets and external vendors. Key Responsibilities: Review effectiveness of risk management plans and resources for transport execution Identify strategic priorities of each specific transport link in development of plans Anticipate emerging transport operations parameters to determine future resource requirements Develop the strategic positioning of transportation operation processes within warehousing or freight forwarding operations Review incident or crisis management plans to mitigate gaps and review cargo consolidation plans to identify savings in space, cost and efficiency Review business processes improvement solutions to determine effectiveness, engage senior management for buy-in to implement solutions identified and manage overall transportation operations Acquire new customers for domestic distribution and develop rail service Maintain and develop vendor management You must be data-driven and have resilience to succeed in this role. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in any major 10 years' experience in the logistics industry as an Operations Manager Knowledge and understanding of logistics operations across multiple modes, i.e., airfreight, ocean freight, warehousing and land transportation Knowledge and understanding of Cargo Security Control, Cold Chain Operations Administration, Project Management, Pricing for Transportation Services and Operations, Process Improvement and Optimisation, Shipment Load and Consolidation, Stakeholder Management, Supply Chain Modelling, Time Sensitive Cargo Delivery Management, Transport Management System Administration, Transportation Hub/Control Centre Administration, Transportation Route and Schedule Planning Fluent in written and spoken English (more languages are beneficial due to the nature of the role) Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools and the ability to learn specific software/tools of the company Ability to work effectively in a customer-driven deadline environment Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic management, leadership, people management, interpersonal and communication skills
