The Manager Port Operations manages all the Staff, Contractors, Processes and Systems that contribute directly to the effective handling of the Bauxite Product through the Dynamic Mining Port Installations including but not limited to: Receiving the haulage trucks into the Port facilities, Storage and stockpile of the Bauxite Product (segregated by quality and by planned OGV), Ensuring effective drainage and moisture control on the stockpiles and when appropriate, dust control Effective storage to maximize active footprint and minimize dead stock Ensuring reclaiming plans are in line with quality targets for every OGV as assigned to various clients Ensures effective use, maintenance and operations of the Port installation facilities as they relate to storage, reclaiming and barge loading infrastructure, so as to ensure optimal uptime and capacity of these key elements of the Dynamic Mining Port Infrastructure Ensures that the interface with the Marine Operations is continuously monitored and managed for effective use of the Marine resources and management of Dynamic Mining cost as it pertains to dispatch and demurrage. Manages and monitors the performance of the Marine contractor Ensures that regular reconciliation of quantities and quality of the Bauxite Product handled by the Dynamic Mining Port is performed so as to ensure correct quantities are recorded in the commercial transactions with Dynamic Mining Clients. Regularly informs the management on deviations from the Marketing / Sales plan or on opportunities to improve on the same for effective decision making Ensures that all work and activities related to Port Operations by either direct employees or contractors follow relevant Dynamic Mining procedures and where applicable, relevant standards i.e. ISO standards. Ensures that all instruments and measuring tools deployed in the process of quantity measurement (weightometers) are calibrated to the relevant standards.
