MAINTENANCE MANAGER NIGERIA FOR PELLET PLANT · Division - Pellet Plant (Grate Kiln) · Function - Maintenance Qualification - Engineering Graduate in MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION Experience level - 12 to 18 years in steel industry (sponge iron companies) Job Responsibilities · Responsible for maintenance cost and control technics. · Process parameter setting for maintenance of high-quality pellet in Grate Kiln technology. · Ensure periodic and shutdown maintenance of mixer, balling disc, traveling grate, rotary kiln, annular cooler and process fans. · Coordinate with the operations department and arrange preventive and shutdown maintenance schedule. · Ensure compliance to the environmental standards and to keep pollution within stipulated norms. · Monitor and record maintenance parameters and bring-in changes wherever necessary. · Generate MIS, daily maintenance and downtime / shutdown data. · Design and manage the shift and ensure deployment of resources. · Drive safety consciousness across the plant area and bring-in safety standards and ensure safety of men and materials. · Ensure compliance to quality targets. · Ensure monitoring, measuring and reporting the maintenance related process performance and general issues. · Analyze problem solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve maintenance issues. · Working closely with shift supervisors to ensure maintenance handovers are effective. · Ensuring that the training skills are met for current and future demand. Knowledge Transfer: · Build the team skills, through transformation initiatives and major change programs, and raise awareness and knowledge of applicable financial policies and procedures. · Manage N-KOM Finance staff to deliver the set functional objectives. Generic Accountabilities: People Leadership: · Manage N-KOM finance staff , cascade the objectives and priorities and ensure the team capability to accomplish the day-to-day finance related activities, by ensuring continuous training and professional education for the team members as required. Change Management: · Contribute to managing change in the team by providing inputs for and taking part in change initiatives, programs and projects that are aligned with the Company strategy and best practice. Safety, Health, Quality, & Environment (SHEQ) · Oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant SHEQ policies, procedures and controls across the finance function. Budgets and Plans: · Oversee the budget preparation and execution, rolling forecasts and cost management, in alignment with the Company’s strategic plan. Systems and Processes: · Lead the transformation related to digital technology to effectively manage, analyze and present data in a way that yields the greatest value for the business. Others: · Oversee the year-end audit task and ensure appropriate monitoring and supporting of disclosed numbers in the Financial Statements and notes. · Carry out other strategic duties as directed by Nakilat Chairman, NKOM CEO and Nakilat CFO.
