15 yearsHead of Operation – Cashew Processing TANZANIA Objective Of the Role: To drive overall optimization & improvement of the processes at the plant. Key Responsibilities: Ø Will be responsible for the New Project Implementation (Greenfield factory) since inception. Ø To oversee all daily plant operations – manufacturing process flow, production, final yield, maintenance, EHS, and following plant policies and procedures. Ø He will liaise with internal stakeholders/department heads to run the factory without industrial disputes. Ø Controlling expenditure and managing capital requirements within a set budget Ø Will have direct involvement in the hiring and training of the new factory workers. Ø Develop processes and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. Ø Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to provide efficient yield & output. Ø Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. Ø Be responsible for production output, product quality, and supply chain. Ø Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the plant & related administrative records Ø Maintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product Ø Allocate & manage utilize assets effectively and align them to produce optimum results. Ø To get involved in implementing strategies in alignment with the company’s strategic vision and providing a clear direction to the subordinates in the plant. Ø Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Ø Motivating factory workers to achieve factory targets continually. Ø Will be responsible for external partner/vendor negotiations and overall management. Functional Requirement 1. Proven experience in managing a country Operation at a Senior level within a cashew Processing Industry 2. Project Management, Vendor Management, and Cost Optimization 3. Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment & its effectiveness 4. Skill set to complete the BRC, SMETA, Organic, and Sustainability Certification 5. Networking skills with internal & external stakeholders 6. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Project Management tools 7. Sound Leadership & Interpersonal skills. 8. Good communication skills in English and Proficiency in Swahili for IVC
